| NewCath and Brossart Advance to the All A State Tournament |

The Newport Catholic Thoroughbreds and Bishop Brossart Mustangs each won their respective regions to move on to the Boys All "A" State Tournament. The 'Breds defeated Holy Cross 52-45 while the Mustangs crushed St. Patrick 60-28.
The State tournament runs February 2-5 with all the first round games starting on Thursday February 2. Newport Catholic plays in the top bracket with a 1:30 P.M. game vs. Fairview. Bishop Brossart plays in the bottom bracket with a 9:30 P.M. game vs. Lee County.
