Boys Sweet 16
The Holmes Bulldogs (31-2) will be representing Northern Kentucky in the KHSAA Sweet Sixteen Basketball Tournament. Holmes defeated CovCath 62-60 in the 9th Region Championship to advance to the state tournament.
This will be the Bulldogs first trip back to Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY since 2009 when they defeated Central 67-63 to win the State Championship.
Round 1

Seniors BJ Coston and Chris Englemon bolsted the Bulldogs to a first round win over PRP on day 1 of the Kentucky Sweet 16. BJ Coston was on fire from the outside recording five 3-pointers and finished with a game high 23 points. Englemon dominated the boards for the Bulldogs finishing the game with 10 points and 18 rebounds. Leading scorer, James Bolden, was held to 13 points but also had 4 assists.
Up next for Holmes (32-2) is Madison Central (29-5) on Friday, March 8 at 12 Noon in the Quarterfinals.

Girls Sweet 16
The Notre Dame Academy Pandas (23-2) will be representing Northern Kentucky in the girls KHSAA Sweet Sixteen Basketball Tournament. NDA defeated Highlands 63-44 in the 9th Region Championship to advance to the state tournament.
This will be the Pandas first trip back to the state tournament since 2007 where they lost to Pike County Central 66-60 in the Quarterfinals.
NDA's first round opponent will be Madison Central (28-4) to be played March 14 at 8PM. The girls' tournament is being played at Western Kentucky's E.A. Diddle Arena.
