| State Tournaments Set for Volleyball, Soccer and Football |

The State Tournaments for soccer and volleyball begin this week. Boys soccer begins on Monday, October 24 with Russell at Ryle and NewCath at Montgomery County. Ryle defeated St. Henry on Saturday 1-0 to advance to the State Tournament while NewCath upset CovCath, ranked 2nd in the State, 2-1.

For the girls soccer State Tournament, George Rogers Clark plays at Notre Dame Academy and Dixie faces East Carter. These games begin Tuesday, October 25.

And for the State Volleyball Tournament at Bellarmine University, action begins Friday, October 28. In the first round, NewCath faces Caldwell County and Notre Dame Academy plays Southwestern. If both teams win, they will play each other in the Quarterfinals.
