| Walton-Verona Girls Basketball Going to State |

The Walton-Verona girls basketball team won against Gallatin County in the 8th Region All A Championship for the first time in 10 years. The Bobcats will be headed to Eastern Kentucky for the State Tournament. Walton will play on Wed, January 27 at 9:30 P.M. vs the Region 14 winner.
In the 9th Region, Newport Central Catholic defeated St. Henry easily to advance to the All A State Tournament. And in the 10th Region, Bracken County defeated St. Patrick to advance. NewCath will play Wed, January 27 at 5:00 P.M. vs the Region 2 winner, and Bracken Cty will play at 1:30 P.M. vs the Region 3 winner.
