NKY Football - Week 5 |
|
9/26/2008 - by NKS Editor |
|
As we head into Week 5 for NKY football, there are a few key games to keep an eye on. The biggest game this Friday features CovCath (3-1) at Highlands (3-1). Highlands, ranked #1 in the Ky Enquirer's coaches poll, won both games against CovCath last year and are a favorite to win this week.
Conner (2-1) will travel to Campbell County (1-2). The Cougars have lost the last three meetings against the Camels but their team is playing much better this year. Conner is coming off a close 28-21 loss to Boone County last week, while Campbell County also lost a close game to Ryle 13-7. This game should be a very close and good game to watch.
Lloyd (0-3) is looking for their first win as they face Newport (1-3).
And Simon Kenton (2-2) plays at Ryle (2-2). The Pioneers could easily be 3-1 but lost a very close game to Conner a few weeks ago in the final minute of play. Ryle has won 3 of the last 4 games, but this should be another very good game to watch.
