Boys Lloyd Invitational
The Holmes Bulldogs (11-1) boys basketball team won the Lloyd Invitational over Daviess County 74-56. Holmes won four consecutive games in four days over Magoffin County, Raceland, Gallatin County and Daviess County. An anticipation game between Holmes and Boone County did not happen as Boone County (11-2) lost to Daviess County 77-73.
Girls Villa Madonna Classic
The Ryle Raiders won their second straight tournament in as many weeks by winning the Villa Madonna Classic. They had just won the Lloyd Invitational by winning four consecutive games, then come back the following week with three consecutive wins over Bracken County, Dixie and Estill County.
Boys LexCath 5/3 Bank Classic
Three teams represented NKY in this tournament and CovCath (9-2) had the best showing coming one game short of the championship game. CovCath had wins over Franklin County and Elliott County before losing to Mason County 60-42. Mason County ended up losing in the championship game to LexCath 79-69 in overtime.
Dixie (5-4) was 1-2 in the tournament with a win over Grace Academy TN and losses to Lincoln County and Barrent County. Simon Kenton (3-6) lost two games to Barren County and Christian County.
