NKY Golf Review - Stonelick Hills
5/25/2007 - by NKS Editor
Stonelick Hills Golf Course
Grade: Eagle

If you're getting tired of playing the same old courses in Northern Kentucky then venture out to Stonelick Hills Golf Course located about 30 minutes from NKY. Take 275 E to the Hillsboro Exit (#59), take a right off the exit and go 6 miles.

This course is beautiful and very unique. Lots of water and deep sand traps. Their feature hole is #9, a par 5 hole that features a large island green and if you get a good drive is reachable within 2 shots. I decided to layup on this hole and my decision rewarded me with a par.

The clubhouse is very big and clean. You almost feel like you're walking into a castle. The cart paths are all concrete and the course was in great shape when we played. The green fees are a little more expensive but well worth it if you want something different, and if you play after 3PM the cost is only $55. Normal weekend rates are $69 (which includes the cart). You will NOT want to walk this course though as there are many holes where you have some distance between the last hole and the next tee box.

Only negative is their snack bar closes at 6PM.
