2006 NKY Youth Football Playoffs

With the 2006 Northern Kentucky Youth Football League's season winding to a close, they will play their second round of playoffs on Saturday & Sunday October 28th & 29th. Games include the Campbell County Red Devils, being the favorite in both the Senior and Junior Divisons. The Seniors take on the Northern Kentucky Bengal Tigers (6-3) and the Juniors will try to handle the Erlanger Lions (7-2). Both Red Devil teams go into the playoffs undefeated at 9-0.

In the Midget Division, which saw 2 upsets in the first round, the Bellevue Tigers (8-1) go against the only team to beat them this season, the Erlanger Lions (6-3). Also, there are the South Kenton Nittany Lions (5-4), which upset the number three seeded Spartans (6-3), going head-to-head against the Raiders (4-5). The Raiders upset the number two seeded Ludlow Panthers (8-1).

The Red Devil Seniors, Red Devil Juniors and Bellevue Tiger Midgets were all League Champions for the 2006 season. Other games include the Junior Erlanger Lions (7-2) vs. Spartans (8-1), and the Senior Raiders (7-2) vs. Spartans (7-2). All these games will be hard hitting football at its best.

Saturday's games will be played on the new field at Newport High School and Sunday's games, along with the Super Bowl, will be played at Beechwood High School. Game times are 12:00 noon, 2:00 pm & 4:00 pm. Admission is $3.00 for anyone over sixteen years old. Come see the future of high school football!!
