| NewCath 75 Murray 54 in State Quarterfinals |

NewCath continued their hot shooting and stellar defense against Murray on Friday afternoon winning 75-54. In the first quarter the Breds jumped out to a 10-2 lead but then Murray answered with back-to-back 3-pointers. From that point on NewCath never looked back and continued their great play.
In the second quarter Ben Weyer started to get more involved and was 3 of 3 from 3-point land, leading the Breds to a 38-17 halftime lead.
Murray outscored NewCath 21-17 in the third quarter but could never get the lead below 18 points and both Weyer and Hall continued their great shooting.
Weyer lead the Breds with 27 points (8/11 shooting), 12 rebounds, 3 blocks and 3 assists. Hall added 21 points and 3 assists. As a team NewCath shot 85% from the FT line (22/26
NewCath (30-4) moves on to the Sweet 16 Semifinals against Paul Dunbar (31-6) on Saturday at 6:30 P.M.
